The Adams Family - Part 3

Normally, I'd put something in here about what swap is and why you should join but I'm guessing the only people who will read this are already members. I wanted to put this on the exchange but deleted all the thumbnails for this story. Oops!

This is the 3rd part of this story.

Alexa is what most people would consider a gold digger and Eddie has lots of money. After Eddie's butler turned Alexa down she decided to pursue Eddie. She had already made an attempt to win Eddie over but he wasn't very receptive. She saw how he was putty in his girlfriend's hands after she told him an insane sob story about aliens and convinced herself that was the way to his heart (and money). She devised a plan and now it was time to put it into action.

She slipped into a beautiful ball gown and carefully applied her makeup. The story she would tell Eddie was perfect. As she opened her bedroom door she put a big smile on her face and prepared to work her moves.

Sure enough, Eddie was in the main room on the first floor when Alexa started walking down the stairs. The minute Eddie turned around to see who it was he was mesmerized with her sheer beauty. He wondered how he hadn't noticed just how attractive his best friends sister was. Of course, she was a bit obnoxious at times but he had dealt with worse during his college years.

Alexa: 'Hi, Eddie.'
Eddie: 'Uh, hi.'
As she swirled around, Alexa asked: 'Do you think my date will like?'
Eddie: 'I didn't know you have a date.'
Alexa: 'Oh, he's so fantastic! We just met the other day and I'm so in love already.'
Eddie: 'Wow. He's one lucky guy.'
Alexa: 'Look at the time, I need to go.'

As Alexa walked out the front door she could feel Eddie close behind her. She had made sure to spray a little perfume on the back of her neck so it would linger behind her as she walked away. So far her plan was going perfectly!

About an hour later the phone rang. It turns out it's the guy that Alexa was suppose to be meeting. It appears that she never showed up for her date with him. Eddie doesn't really understand what's going on, but he tells the guy she left awhile ago and should have been there by now.

The guy thanks Eddie for the information and says he'll wait a little while longer for her to show up. Eddie wishes the guy the best and hangs up. Something definitely wasn't right, but Eddie wasn't so sure it had anything to do with Alexa not showing up because she had been physically hurt. He figured if by the morning there was no sign of her he'd call the police.

It didn't take long for Alexa to make her way back home though. Alexa knew just what time Eddie came out of his bedroom to make himself a night cap and made sure she arrived home precisely at that moment. Eddie was skeptical of what actually happened to Alexa that night and wanted to know if her story would match the guy on the phone's story.

Eddie: 'How was your date? It ended fast.'
Alexa: 'He didn't show up.'
Eddie: 'Really? Where were you two suppose to meet?'
Alexa: 'We were going to go on a dinner cruise along the lake. We were suppose to meet in front of the boat.'

The guy who had called said he had arrived early at the dock and never left the front of the boat. Something didn't add up.

Alexa had been working the tears since the moment she walked in the door. She hoped they would lead to a comfort hug from Eddie. When she leaned in toward him though he quickly pulled away. She was confused. How could he dislike her so much that he wouldn't even try to comfort her. Clearly, he could she how upset she was.

Eddie: 'Alexa, your date called about twenty minutes ago looking for you.'
Alexa: 'He did. What happened to him?'
Eddie: 'He was waiting for you at the dock.'
Alexa: 'He was? Maybe I got the dock wrong.'
Eddie: 'I highly doubt that since there's only three in this town and they're all right next to each other.'
Alexa: 'Oh...'
Eddie: 'Is this some sort of game you're playing? Because I don't like it!'

Alexa could see she lost this "game" so she did the only other thing she knew. She sashayed closer to him so he could get a whiff of her perfume and slowly leaned in for a kiss. Eddie was not going to tolerate this even if she looked and smelled amazing. He grabbed his drink and went back to his room.

There was too much on Eddie's mind to sleep that night. Early the next morning he found Edward cleaning the upstairs toilet.

Alfred: 'You are up awfully early today.'
Eddie: 'I can't sleep.'
Alfred: 'What's the matter?'
Eddie: 'Alexa. I think she's trouble.'
Alfred: 'I'm afraid I must agree with you.'

Eddie: 'Could you stop unclogging the toilet for a moment.'
Alfred: 'Certainly.'
Eddie: 'Why do you think Alexa's trouble?'
Alfred: 'Well, from the moment she walked into this house until just a couple days ago she has been coming onto me very strongly.'
Eddie: 'You old devil!'
Alfred: 'Yes, at first I found it flattering, but then I overheard a phone call she was having one day. She was telling the person on the other line that she had found the perfect old fart to trap in a relationship. I suppose that's because I'll die sooner then a young lad like yourself and she could have all my money. After hearing that I turned her down cold.'
Eddie: 'That explains why she moved onto me. I think it's time for her to go, even if she is James' sister.'
Alfred: 'I believe you are probably right.'

About an hour later Eddie found James on the couch and told him what happened the night before as well as what Alfred had experienced.

Eddie: 'Dude, I wanted to help your sister because you've always been such a good friend to me, but she's out of control!'
James: 'I'm sorry, Eddie. I shouldn't have asked if she could stay here. I grew up with her and knew all too well what she might do when she got here. I hoped she might have changed though.'
Eddie: 'I'm going to have to ask her to leave. Having her around is not healthy for any of us.'
James: 'Let me tell her to leave. I think she should be up by now.'
Eddie: 'Are you sure?'
James: 'Yes.'

James knocked on his sister's door but she didn't answer. He starting pounding on the door but when she still didn't answer he barged in.

James: 'Get up, Alexa!'
Alexa: 'James, what's wrong?'
James: 'You are wrong, you've always been wrong.'
Alexa: 'Whoa, what's going on?'

James: 'I wonder sometimes how we are even related. You are such a scam artist.'
Alexa: 'Oh, shut up, Mr. Golden Boy.'
James: 'You know, that's your problem. You always wanted more even when dad favored you over me. You got everything you always wanted but were never satisfied.'
Alexa: 'I wouldn't have gotten anything if I didn't beg all the time. All I ever heard was how you were the smart one, you were the one with a bright future, you, you, you!!!'
James: 'You never even tried!'
Alexa: 'It wouldn't have mattered.'

James: 'I'm done. It's time for you to leave. You've over stayed your welcome.'
Alexa: 'What?'
James: 'You heard me. You've already caused enough problems.'
Alexa: 'Is that how you feel?'
James: 'Yes, now back your bags and go.'

Alexa knew when it was time to go. She called a taxi and packed her bags. She had some money in the bank so she'd stay at a hotel until she found a better option. James didn't bother saying goodbye. He knew when she needed something she'd contact him again.

With Alexa gone, Eddie was able to focus on Heather. He really liked her but wasn't so sure that her story about aliens was true. She had told him that one night while stargazing a spaceship came out of nowhere and abducted her. After a few tests were performed on her she was sent back home, only to discover she was pregnant. The odd thing was the pregnancy moved at a rapid rate and in just days she was giving birth. Supposedly, a man with a steel arm showed up while she was in labor and stole the green colored babies (she had twins) from her. A month later when two green adult aliens showed up at her home she took off running and hadn't stopped until she ended up here with Eddie.

Heather was very concerned Eddie would tell her to leave so she did everything in her power to ensure her safety in his home. She knew the way to Eddie's heart was through physical contact. Whenever he tried to get serious with her she'd quickly distract him by massaging his neck or kissing him. Eddie fell for it nearly every time.

During one of their annual make out sessions on the couch before they'd make their way to the bedroom, the two green adult aliens that Heather had seen before showed up next to them. Neither Heather or Eddie realized they were there at first, but when they decided to pull away from each other to head to the bedroom Heather spotted them.

She thought she was losing it. The first time she saw them she hoped it was a dream and that she was running for nothing. Heather nearly fell backwards off of Eddie's lap when she saw them. She wondered if Eddie would see them too or if she was truly just losing her mind. Eddie looked at her oddly when she jumped so quickly. As he turned his head to see what Heather was so startled by, Heather prayed he'd see the two aliens standing there.

Eddie's eyes nearly pop out when he saw what she was staring at. He can hardly believe his eyes. This was either the best joke ever or the craziest thing he'd ever seen. As he stood up and realized they were real, he nearly fainted. Heather was so relieved to know he saw them too.

Heather's first instinct was to run again, but Eddie didn't run so Heather didn't either.

Eddie: 'What is going on here? Did you scare her out of her home a few months ago?'
Alien #1: 'I suppose we did, but that was never our intention.'
Eddie: 'Why are you here? Do you want to harm her?'
Alien #2: 'We would never hurt her.'
Eddie: 'Why are you here then?'

Alien #2: 'Heather, you are our mother.'
Alien #1: 'We got the leaders of our home planet to grant us a short leave to come here and meet you. We have to go back soon.'
Heather: 'What? I gave birth to two babies just four months ago. This definitely doesn't make sense.'
Alien #1: 'We age must faster on our planet then people do here.'
Alien #2: 'Don't you remember how short your pregnancy was compared to a regular pregnancy?'
Heather: 'Yes, I do, but it still doesn't make sense.'
Alien #2: 'There's a time warp between your planet and ours.'
Alien #1: 'We age at the same speed on our planet as you do here but because of the time wrap we appear older must faster then people here do.'

Eddie: 'Heather, that actually makes some sense.'
Heather: 'Really?'
Eddie: 'Yeah, there are all sorts of time warps in space that could make aging different from one planet to the next.'
Heather: 'This is way too much for me. I need to sit down.'
Eddie: 'Lets sit at the table.'

Eddie points the two aliens to the dining room table and follows closely behind Heather. He knows this must be a lot for her to take in at once and worries that she might faint.

Heather: 'So, you live on another planet?'
Alien #1: 'Yes.'
Heather: 'How doesn't our government know about it?'
Alien #2: 'They do, but they don't want to scare every day civilians so they keep it to themselves.'
Eddie: 'Not surprising. Most every day people would panic.'
Heather: 'What's your planet like?'
Alien #1: 'It's a bit different. We have three moons and shorter days then you do here.'
Alien #2: 'Our days are only 19 hours long verses your 24 hours.'
Heather: 'Do you have lakes and grass like we do?'
Alien #2: 'A little. Water is rather scarce but we've found other ways to survive.'

Alien #1: 'I'm sorry, but we can't stay much longer. Our space ship will be arriving shortly to take us back home.'
Alien #2: 'We had hoped to have more time with you but it was hard to find you again after you took off from your home that day we showed up.'
Heather: 'You have to leave so soon...will you come back?'
Alien #2: 'We can't. The time warp between your planet and ours will be closed until we are too old to make this journey again.'
Alien #1: 'Only a short time will pass on this planet but many years will pass on ours before the door is open again.'

Heather was sad to know she lost what little time she had with her sons because she was scared of them. They spent the next couple hours talking about how life was different on their planet. They were just starting to get comfortable with each other, but then it got dark and her sons space ship came to take them away. As they watched them leave Eddie gave Heather a big hug. Heather smiled, knowing that not only was she not crazy but all this chaos had led to her finding a good man.
